My fall semester in London has officially begun! I arrived a few days before the start of the semester with my family, so we could see many of the famous sights together. Our travels consisted of a 4 hour flight to SFO, a 6 hour lay-over, and an 11 hour flight to Heathrow Airport. It was a long journey, but it was all worth it, as we finally made it across the pond.

I spent my first few days exploring the city, tasting delicious food, and learning about the rich culture. One highlight was being able to take a tour inside of Buckingham Palace, which they only offer in the summer months, until the end of September! We spent the morning looking at the lavish rooms, the royal painting collections, and learning about the palace's history. It was also surreal to see the Elizabeth Tower for the first time.

On Wednesday, September 17, I officially moved into the University of Roehampton. I checked in with the study abroad team, who gave me information about what to expect for the rest of the week, showed me to my dorm, and truly made me feel welcomed. The next day, we had an in-student orientation, where we learned about student life, academic life, and took a tour of our campus. There were also a ton of freshers events to attend throughout the week, which I definitely recommend going to. This is a great time to meet new people, adjust to the environment, and open your mind to trying new things.

I am so excited to continue my study abroad journey here at Roehampton. Stay tuned! :)
